 As a retired Councilwoman for the City of Madison Heights for over 26 years, former President of the Michigan Municipal League, and a proud Life Member of the MML—which provides education and resources to the majority of cities, villages, and townships across Michigan—I have had the privilege of serving our community and working alongside many government leaders.

I have had the privilege of knowing Corey K. Haines for over 32 years, and I can say without hesitation that he is the most qualified candidate ever to run for Mayor of Madison Heights. His experience, leadership, and commitment to the community make him the clear choice.

Corey began his career with the Madison Heights Police Department in 1992, working his way through the ranks to become our Chief of Police. He then made history by becoming the first Police Chief in Madison Heights to be selected as Deputy City Manager, further demonstrating his leadership and dedication to our city.

Beyond his public service, Corey is deeply rooted in our community. He and his wife are raising their two children here, both of whom attend school in the Lamphere School District. He also serves as the Lamphere Middle School Cross Country Coach and Assistant Track Coach, giving back to our youth and helping develop the next generation.

Corey furthered his education by attending law school, passing the bar exam, and is a member in good standing of both the Michigan Bar Association and the Oakland County Bar Association. This unique combination of law enforcement, legal, and municipal management experience makes him exceptionally prepared to serve as Mayor.

Corey understands the challenges we face and has the experience, integrity, and vision to move Madison Heights in a positive direction. He is not only prepared for the responsibilities of Mayor—he is uniquely suited to serve in this role.
